While enjoying the beautiful scenery you’ll be able to take part in our local fishery and harvesting programs. The boat will stop at a few locations throughout the Delta where guests will check fish nets for the catch of the day and learn how to forage for traditional summer foods such as herbs and berries. A light snack will be provided during the tour as we are having a late dinner at 9pm. Upon arrival at the Eco-Village you’ll head straight to the Tipi for a delicious traditional meal that you can enjoy while hearing storytelling from local Elders. We offer a variety of traditional accommodations, giving the guests an option to sleep in a tipi, wall tent or cabin.

During your tour you’ll have the opportunity to take part and experience how we live off the land through mixing traditional ecological knowledge and modern science. After the tour, Elders will teach the guests how to use the local ingredients that were harvested and foraged the night before to cook a delicious lunch for everyone to enjoy. After lunch your guides will boat you back to Inuvik, arriving back in town by 2 pm.
