    • On this 9 hour boat tour, you will have the opportunity to explore the many channels of the Mackenzie Delta, rich with wildlife and breathtaking views. After reaching Aklavik, you will have a 2 hour town tour with your local guide exploring the many hidden gems and historic sites Aklavik has to offer, including the grave site of the Mad Trapper. Once finished your tour, you will return back to Inuvik by boat for a journey further filled with stories of the land and life in Canada’s high Arctic. On your way back to Inuvik you will stop at our Okpik Arctic Village for a tour of the Village and a cultural meal.

    • It is suggested that you bring some snacks for your trip though a bagged lunch will be provided.
    • Remember to where layers as the weather can change quickly in the Arctic. You can always take jackets off and keep in the boat.
    • Please be sure to be at the Tundra North Tours office 30 mins prior to departure time.
    • As most our costs are incurred long before the actual trip, rental or tour takes place, we are bound to the following cancellation fees:

    • 90 Days before tour start: Full refund
    • 90 – 61 days before tour start: 75% refund
    • 60 – 30 days before tour start: 50% refund
    • 30 or fewer days before tour start: No refund possible
    • Exceptions to this cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason, including, terrorism, civil unrest or personal emergencies. If unforeseen circumstances require a change in itinerary, we will make every effort to work out an alternative solution. If for any reason we cannot start the tour, due to circumstances, including but not limited, to severe weather, mechanical breakdown or road closures, you will receive a full refund.
