Join us on a once in a lifetime journey into Canada’s majestic Northwest Territories and the hamlets of Inuvik, Reindeer Station, and Tuktoyaktuk. This land of intense beauty offers a final opportunity to travel the Ice Road (driving over the Mackenzie River and the Arctic Ocean) between Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk and be captivated by the stately Reindeer Herd as it will be the last time one can view their journey to this area. View the Northern Lights as you stand along side the Arctic Ocean; experience a night in an igloo; join the Inuvik People as they share a great feast, dancing, and old time games; hear their stories of life in the north from local elders; and mush your own dog team.

A new adventure awaits us today as we travel from Inuvik back to Reindeer Station for breakfast and an opportunity to learn about trapping, hunting, and what it takes to survive in the Arctic. Following that we head to the Ice Road to view the Reindeer crossing. Once the Reindeer have crossed the road you will travel by snowmobile (you do not drive the snowmobile) out to the Reindeer herd, enjoy a lunch by the fire, and watch this magical herd rest and graze before they cross the Ice Road again. The journey continues on the Ice Road to Tuktoyaktuk. Upon arrival, we check in to Smitty’s B & B for an overnight stay. Experience a cultural dinner with local elders. This evening take a tour to the Arctic Ocean to look for northern lights
